PRAXIS, INC is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation, established in 1999. Emphasizing the interdependence of technology, design, theory, and history, PRAXIS investigates these fields as parts of an integrated discipline, promoting connections between various aspects of architectural production. From 1999-2000, PRAXIS Inc. published PRAXIS: a journal of writing + building, a distinctive voice in international architectural culture. The journal addressed design issues in both depth and breadth, and engendered an architectural discourse uniquely rooted in practice. PRAXIS Inc. co-curated and co-commissioned OfficeUS, the US Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2014 and continues work in publication and curatorial projects.
PRAXIS has received critical acclaim as well as numerous awards and honors, including an ID award in 2004 and has twice been awarded design grants from the National Endowment for the Arts.
